Oregon Coast

The Oregon Coast is filled with majestic rocks, sweeping views of the ocean, and plenty of fun, touristy things to do. Coming to the Oregon Coast means coming to an area where there is no other place on Earth like it. Winding down Highway 101 starting at Astoria and ending at Bandon you will see many different types of scenery as well as vegetation. On the northern Oregon Coast, there are vast pine trees and the magnificent Coast Range, with the sometimes snow-capped fir trees in the winter and spring. On the central and southern Oregon Coast it is much flatter with smaller trees that are great for climbing or making a trip down to a bonfire extra spooky. The central and southern Oregon Coast tends to be warmer, especially in the winter, with calmer seas and easier beachcombing. In Florence, Oregon there are the largest sand dunes on the Oregon Coast, so you can imagine what fun sport is often seen there! Dune bugging is a hot commodity in Florence as it is in the surrounding towns.

Nonetheless, the Oregon Coast is a vacationer’s paradise. Wherever you choose to spend your vacation or your life, whether it be the touristy Seaside and Cannon Beach or the terrific campgrounds at Fort Stevens, the Oregon Coast has it all. Take a trip down Highway 101 and see why we fell in love.
