Lincoln City is one of the most populated cities on the Oregon Coast. It has many year
round residents as well as tourists. It boasts a fresh water lake, Devil’s Lake which is popular for water skiing and fishing with many gorgeous homes that line the perimeter.
Lincoln City is home to an Outlet Mall with many stores including Gap and Eddie Bauer. It
can take you an entire rainy afternoon to go through all of the shops!
Lincoln City boasts an annual kite flying festival in June which had close to 5,000 kitesin the air this year. It is a beautiful display
and you can sit at the Kalypso Restaurant and watch all afternoon. The Kalypso and the area
where the kite flying is best is where the Dee River meets the mighty Pacific Ocean. The Dee River
is the shortest river in the world and runs out of the coast range right through town.
The best lodging in Lincoln City are the Best Western Landmark Inn where pets are
allowed, with pool and the Looking Glass Inn again with pets allowed and
a pool, yet a little pricier.
Several miles outside of Lincoln City is Salishan Spa and Golf Resort. It is in
Gleneden Beach, Oregon, which is just 5.4 miles south of the Lincoln City center. If you
are looking for a spa getaway, this is the place. With rates starting at just $149 per night
and pets allowed, this spa has it all. Breakfast is on the house and there is a gorgeous
dining room for dinner. Across Highway 101, there are the Salishan Shoppes where you can go
clothing, jewelry, and art shopping. There is a remarkable 18-hole golf course that
